Who we are
The Human Dash provides the Human Dash wellness application at thehumandash.app. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to privacy@thehumandash.com. General support is available at info@thehumandash.com.
Information we process
We may process account details; age confirmation; profile and preference information; assessment answers; Human Dash Score, band and phenotype; daily pulse and check-ins; trends; selected, saved and completed practices; session duration and XP; journal entries and reflections; symptoms and safety responses; coaching information shared through the service; optional biomarker or laboratory-related information; notification preferences; support messages; and records of consent and privacy requests.
We may also receive basic device, browser, app-use, security, error and diagnostic information needed to operate, protect and improve the service.
Wellness, stress, burnout, coaching, assessment, reflection, symptom and biomarker-related information can be sensitive. Please share only information you are comfortable storing in your account.
Where information comes from
Most information comes directly from you. We may also receive an assessment you completed on a Human Dash website when you sign in with a matching account, information generated from your app activity, and information from service providers acting for us.
How and why we use it
We use information to provide your account, calculate and display informational scores, personalize recommendations, save progress, deliver reminders you choose, support safety routing, answer requests, maintain security, meet legal obligations and improve reliability.
Where applicable, we rely on performing our agreement with you, your consent for optional or sensitive processing, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, and legal obligations. Optional research, analytics, product-improvement and AI-assisted uses remain separate choices in your data controls.
We do not sell sensitive wellbeing information. We do not use it for third-party targeted advertising.
Automated scores and recommendations
Scores, bands, phenotypes, trends and recommendations are generated from user-provided and available data. They may be incomplete, inaccurate or change over time. They are educational decision-support tools, not clinical diagnoses or treatment decisions. You may choose whether to follow any recommendation.
Service providers and other recipients
We may share the minimum necessary information with hosting, database, authentication, storage, email, notification, analytics, error-monitoring and support providers that help operate the service. Third-party videos or links may receive information under their own policies when you open them. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for the purposes above. Retention varies by record type, legal requirements, security needs and your choices. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal app information unless a limited record must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, security or audit reasons. Backup copies may remain until normal secure deletion cycles complete.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, export, deletion or anonymization; withdraw consent; object to or restrict some processing; and ask privacy questions. Signed-in users can use My data or delete an account directly in Settings. You may also email privacy@thehumandash.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
California residents may also have rights to know, correct and delete personal information and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, without discriminatory treatment. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in California law.
Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including account controls, access restrictions and protected storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries different from yours; where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.
Health privacy and breach notice
Human Dash does not claim that every use of the app is subject to or compliant with HIPAA. HIPAA applies only in particular legal relationships, including certain covered-entity or business-associate arrangements. If a separate written agreement applies, its terms govern that use.
Other privacy and health-data laws may apply, including health-app breach notification requirements. If a qualifying breach occurs, we will investigate and provide notices to affected people and authorities as required by applicable law.
Adults only
The service is for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the new version and effective date and provide additional notice when required. For privacy matters, email privacy@thehumandash.com. If that mailbox is temporarily unavailable, contact omar@shaker.health.
This policy is prepared for qualified legal review before public release and may be updated following that review.
